The recruitment of GP ‘C’ civilian defence employees at units under HQ Southern Command is open to eligible male and female candidates who are citizens of India. Various posts are available, each with specific vacancies, categories, scales of pay, and essential and desirable qualifications. These include posts such as MTS (Messenger), MTS (Daftary), Cook, Washerman, Mazdoor, and MTS (Gardener).

Age limits and relaxations apply based on the candidate’s category. The application process is conducted online, with each candidate allowed to apply for only one post under any one category or reservation. In case of a large number of applications, the department may screen candidates based on their percentage of marks in the essential qualification exam. A written test will be conducted, with questions aligned with the educational qualifications of each post. Skill/practical tests may be required for certain posts. It’s important to note that SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for general (UR) vacancies are not eligible for the age and other concessions meant for their respective categories.
