**Selection Process:**

a. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have participated in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE – 2023). Based on their GATE-2023 Scores/Marks and meeting the required criteria, candidates will be shortlisted according to their discipline and category. This shortlisting will be in a ratio of 1:3, based on merit, to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.

b. In the event of a tie in GATE Score, the following criteria will be followed to determine the final merit panel:
i) The applicant with a higher percentage mark / CGPA in the minimum eligible qualification will be given precedence in the merit list.
ii) If a tie persists even after considering the above point, the applicant who is senior in age will be placed higher.

c. The final merit list for each discipline will be compiled based on the GATE-2023 Scores/Marks. It’s important to note that only GATE Scores/Marks from 2023 will be considered valid for this recruitment. Scores from before or after GATE-2023 will not be taken into account in this process.

d. Candidates currently employed with Government / PSUs / Autonomous bodies must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) while submitting their online application. Failing to do so may result in the rejection of their candidature for the applied post. If employed after submitting the application to CIL, a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from the current employer must be submitted during the Documents Verification (DV) & Initial Medical Examination (IME) process. Failure to do so will result in them being disqualified from DV & IME. Candidates must also present all original certificates and documents during DV & IME, without which they will not be permitted to proceed.

e. The final list of selected candidates for the vacancies will be exclusively available on the CIL website. Candidates will receive notifications about Documents Verification (DV) & Initial Medical Examination (IME) through the CIL website and their registered E-mail Id only.

f. The issuance of the Offer of Appointment will be contingent on the successful completion of DV & IME, as well as the submission of a relieving letter from the present employer for those working in the Government Sector / PSU / Autonomous body.
